Even more reason to indulge myself!

Today the first bar of Fairtrade certified Cadbury’s Dairy Milk is produced. Apparently it will look the same, taste the same and cost the same. Yippee!!

I love Dairy Milk. I shun the calls of friends that it is inferior to the Continental smoothness of Belgian praline, French truffles or Swiss Alpine dairyness. It’s not comparing like with like. I adore a bar of Green & Black’s Maya Gold as a treat. When my husband buys me a small box of hand-made Belgian chocolates as a romantic gift, I savour each one. But just as a curry is just as good in a different way to a Michelin starred restaurant, so a chunky bar of Dairy Milk, preferably chilled, can’t be beaten for an everyday treat.

I’m looking out for that Fairtrade badged wrapper in the shops and when I see it I’ll be releasing my inner Geraldine Grainger!
